I just finished watching this great film called Shelter. Shelter is a romantic drama about a young guy named Zach (Trevor Wright) who is forced to give up his dreams of becoming an artist due to family obligations. While helping his sister (Tina Holmes) out with her child Cody (after Cody’s father left), he meets Shaun (Brad Rowe), his best friend’s (Gabe, played by Ross Thomas) brother whom Zach has known since his childhood. The two start to surf and hang out together, and develop a friendship that turns into a relationship and the story goes on from there.

The film is very good. The acting is superb, the writing is very good and there’s true, great chemistry between the actors playing Zach and Shaun. I highly recommend this film, even if you’re not gay.

Attention, Gays of the Internet: Gaga Needs You!

Justin Bieber’s music video for “Baby” is about to overtake “Bad Romance” and become the most viewed video on YouTube. Technically, it already has (245,074,968 views VS 245,052,248 views :-(), but YouTube has yet to notice this and update the listings! We might still have a chance!

Click the title to go to the Bad Romance music video and spread it around. Lady Gaga may be shocking, out-of-the-ordinary and disliked by some because of how she acts. But we cannot lose to a child singing to pre-teen girls!

What happens when a promo goes gay?

My satellite provider has this new competition, where one can win a date with a popular actor from one of their shows. When they sent the promotional message through the satellite boxes, there was one funny mistake - It was phrased in the masculine. (It was in Hebrew) I’ll try and show this in English some way. Parts in square brackets were added by me to make up for the lack of grammatical genders in English:

Promo: [Boys,] Dreaming of that hottie from Our Highschool Song 2? Go to yes.walla.co.il, answer the questions and you may win a date with Yehuda Nahari

Next, I commented on a news post about this (phrased correctly), which they posted on Facebook:

Me: Hi, did you notice you phrased this message in the masculine in the versions sent to our satellite boxes? Was it a human error or a clever hint? ;)

Then, they responded with a funny, cool response that made me laugh out loud:

Yes: Referral is masculine, but is designed for both men and women.

…and I just found yet another reason to love Yes.

My cable TV provider recently added Torchwood season 1 to their video-on-demand service. I saw season 1, but remembered there was an episode or two I didn’t. The one I didn’t see was Greeks Bearing Gifts and another I saw but forgot almost all of was Captain Jack Harkness. In the end of the latter one, there’s a moving scene where Captain Jack Harkness and Captain Jack Harkness, as in Torchwood’s Jack and the 1940s Jack (Watch the full episode to see what I mean), dance and kiss in the end. I shared it above.

The BBC really know how to make beautiful, well-written shows. Whether those are action or sci-fi shows like Doctor Who and Torchwood, or comedy shows like Gavin & Stacey.

One last note: Isn’t John Barrowman an awesome person? He’s a great actor, he’s incredibly hot and he’s a great person. Did I mention he’s incredibly hot?

One of the best parts about being openly gay...

...is being able to say stuff like this:

Friend A: I've been working out so much. Check out my abs! *takes off shirt*

Friend B: Stop taking off your shirt! Nobody wants to see that!

Me: Speak for yourself!
