This new song by The Young Professionals, a new collaboration featuring Ivri Lider is pretty much amazing. A beautiful mix of modern dance and classic disco with bits of electronic music placed in specific spots, all featured in a great music video that’s probably the highest-quality music video made in Israel yet. I just finished watching this great film called Shelter. Shelter is a romantic drama about a young guy named Zach (Trevor Wright) who is forced to give up his dreams of becoming an artist due to family obligations. While helping his sister (Tina Holmes) out with her child Cody (after Cody’s father left), he meets Shaun (Brad Rowe), his best friend’s (Gabe, played by Ross Thomas) brother whom Zach has known since his childhood. The two start to surf and hang out together, and develop a friendship that turns into a relationship and the story goes on from there.
The film is very good. The acting is superb, the writing is very good and there’s true, great chemistry between the actors playing Zach and Shaun. I highly recommend this film, even if you’re not gay.
What happens when a promo goes gay?
My satellite provider has this new competition, where one can win a date with a popular actor from one of their shows. When they sent the promotional message through the satellite boxes, there was one funny mistake - It was phrased in the masculine. (It was in Hebrew) I’ll try and show this in English some way. Parts in square brackets were added by me to make up for the lack of grammatical genders in English:

Next, I commented on a news post about this (phrased correctly), which they posted on Facebook:
Me: Hi, did you notice you phrased this message in the masculine in the versions sent to our satellite boxes? Was it a human error or a clever hint? ;)
Then, they responded with a funny, cool response that made me laugh out loud:
Yes: Referral is masculine, but is designed for both men and women.
…and I just found yet another reason to love Yes.
