When Gaga tweets a video of one of her performances, and the BBC takes down said video.
Gaga’s newest song, Hair, was released only two hours ago. Sounds good!
Just discovered this (very nice) Bad Romance cover by Artist Vs Poet. It’s basically a rock cover, but I’ve noticed several pop elements and adjustments to fit the song better. Some even call it a punk cover.
In any case - I like it!
Copyright notice: The song is streamed (directly) from Facebook (using Tumblr’s own audio player - I’m streaming the specific MP3 file), originally found on Artist Vs Poet’s Facebook page.

I recently came across a rather poetic, smart interpretation of Lady Gaga’s song, Alejandro. Apparently, it’s not just a pop song:
Our teacher told this. Alejandro means man’s defender and protector (God.) Fernando means ardent for peace (Jesus.) Roberto means bright or shining fame (Holy Spirit.) Babe is the same as Child.
Don’t call my name, Don’t call my name, GOD.
I’m not your child, I’m not your child, Jesus
Don’t call my name, Don’t call my name, hol…y spirit.
God, just let me go. - Lady Gaga
I checked it out, and it’s valid: Alejandro is the Spanish form of the name Alexander, of which the Greek meaning is “defending men” and “protector of men”. Fernando means “ardent for peace” according to Visigothic tradition. Roberto (or plainly “Robert”) means fame or bright fame. And of course, babe also means a baby or infant. In addition, the theory sounds quite possible, seeing as the music video dealt with the acceptance of gays in the military and the church.
I found this amazing mashup a few days ago - it’s a mashup of Lady Gaga’s Alejandro and Marina And The Diamonds’s I Am Not A Robot. It was made by the (awesome) DJ Surge-N, the same guy who made Tick-Toxic, the popular Toxic/What You Waiting For? mashup. I Am Not A Robot’s acapella fits with the tune of Alejandro’s instrumental, and I believe the mashup sounds pretty great.
P.S.: Since I come across a lot of great mashups and have a collection of over a hundred, maybe I should share one great mashup with you guys every week?

People sometimes wonder why I admire Lady Gaga. It’s not just because of her music or her fashion sense, but also because she’s not afraid to express herself in her own way, no matter what others might think of her. In fact, she’s the one who helped me stop caring about others’ opinions of me and finally act the way I want to act and say what’s on my mind without the fear of being ridiculed.
Woah, this Bad Romance mashup is very, very good! It features Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” (obviously) as the acapella and Muse’s “Time Is Running Out” as the instrumental. Get it here, under “2010 Album Downloads”. It’s in the second album.
After looking all over YouTube, I finally found Glee’s performance of Bad Romance. The minute I heard episode 20 would feature Lady Gaga’s songs, the anticipation grew, but when I heard Glee would perform Bad Romance in the episode, I couldn’t wait anymore. Episode 15 was just aired, and I would not wait to see the performance 5 weeks.
It’s very, very good. The dance routine is awesome, the singing is great and the costumes? Wow. But what really amazed me was this: Why didn’t Santana sing until now? She has a wonderful voice, and until now (or at least until episode 15) we’ve never heard her sing solo. Kurt also fits in very well and the final solo (“I want your love, and I want your revenge…”) is very well-done. The only thing that disappointed me was the fact their performance is only 2 minutes and 30 seconds. But I assume Fox had to cut the song so they could fit the whole episode in 40 minutes.
Anyway, here it is! It’s just the performance, so there are no spoilers. Try and watch it as soon as you can before Fox take the video down!
I just discovered this song. Apparently, it was written by Lady Gaga and from what I heard, she’s also doing some of the background vocals. (You can hear her best in the chorus after 1:38) The song’s got a great beat that certainly reminds me of Gaga’s music, and Britney’s voice isn’t bad in this song. Though, I’m sure Gaga could’ve done a much better and much more emotional version.
Woah, awesome performance! Those are some killer dance moves. Lady Gaga would be proud of them. :-)

Rutgers’ Gay Frat Boys Celebrate Campus Spirit With The Gaga
Haha. Of course the Delta Lambda Phi fraternity (yes, that’s the gay one) chooses a Lady Gaga dance montage to celebrate Rutgers Day. Not bad, boys.
