I just watched 90210’s second season finale, and I must say… The writers are getting better. I saw some of the twists right away, but some came completely by surprise. In addition, the plot was thicker, less teenish and less fake than the previous episodes. There were a few some many clichés and common teen drama events, but overall it was pretty good. At least, it was much better than the previous episodes.
Though I wish we’d gotten more info before it ended. They sort-of cut us off at a cliffhanger, but one too early. I mean, instead of (metaphorically) stopping at a cliff, slipping and hanging for our lives, it was so close we actually ran across it, continued running on air and only noticed it a little while afterwards. (Like in cartoons, e.g.: Looney Tunes.) Yeah, I know, that’s one weird metaphor.
And now I can’t wait until the next season. It’s so ironic that just as the summer comes and I finally have time to actually watch my shows freely (Summer vacation!), all of my shows reach their season finales. First Desperate Housewives. Then Doctor Who. And now 90210.
